4D Color Doppler Ultrasound:
It is a modern technique used in diagnosing the fetus and monitor its health in the womb. This technique is one of the most important techniques used in the field of fetal medicine. It depends on ultrasound with high resolution and color.
Color Doppler technology is used to measure the speed of blood flow in different blood vessels. The images and videos are analyzed by a radiologist to diagnose any underlying health problems, and it is used to determine the age and size of the fetus, monitor its growth, development during pregnancy, and to diagnose some health problems that may affect the health of the fetus, such as feeding and oxygen system disorders. In addition, it is used to determine the sex of the fetus.
There are several types of ultrasound imaging, including:
- Hepatography, cholecystography, and urography.
- Imaging of superficial organs such as the thyroid, breast, and testis.
- Imaging of internal and superficial blood vessels using Doppler including lower and upper extremities Doppler, abdominal and liver Doppler.
- Color Doppler, flow imaging, and microvascular Doppler.
- Elastography of the viscera: This technique provides a diagnosis of the mass (hard or soft), and we can assess malignant masses in cases of breast, thyroid, testicle, and glands.
- Sialoadenography.
- Encephalography through fontanel for newborns.
